Wednesday morning we had one more quick breakfast with the dolphins and then used our last coupon to buy some blueberry scones for the trip home. We drove to the airport....
and got to the "Commuter Terminal"...
in plenty of time to see if "Pacific Wings" would have a plane flying today. Sure enough they did.
| Not a very big plane.... |
| Another 9-seater. |
| Two very young pilots. |
| And a Garmin. |
| No real "jet-way" here. |
Once again, the Dramamine did the trick and soon we saw Maui appear - the first stop on our trip home.
After a very bumpy descent, we were on the ground and waiting for our next flight from Maui to San Diego. That flight went as scheduled and we arrived a hour early in San Diego (jet-stream-aided flight!). After spending the night (11 PM to 6:30 AM) in the airport, we know what Tom Hanks felt like in "Terminal". The next flight from S.D. to Chicago beat the impending storm and we left Chicago at 1 PM arriving in Albany at about 4:45 local time - whatever that is. There was snow when we got home and it was cold. And still is. But we are remembering the warm, sunny Pacific...
and waiting for summer!
